I figured it was time for an update and would like to keep this somewhat updated to share my new adventures with everyone! As most of you know, I have accepted a teaching position for 7th grade math (yikes!) and have completed my first full week of classes! I have to say, middle school kids aren't as scary as I thought they would be, probably because I have heard what a great group of students we have this year! I actually like the little kiddos and have enjoyed the time I spend with them! I have to say though, that every day in teaching is a new adventure...you really never know what is going to happen! Example: Friday, the first 5 minutes of class I had a student get stung by a huge wasp in my classroom. yep, my class, huge wasp. I am just thankful he was not allergic!
I know that I went to school to teach but honestly, even after doing it for a little over a week, I just have so much respect for teachers. The time and dedication it takes to actually create a lesson and execute it....it's almost impossible. Yet, there are tons of teachers that do it day in and day out and they really do deserve credit for it. I can say that I have easily spent 10-11 hours at school each day just to prepare myself for the next day or two (just like a lot of teachers out there). It's a lot of work but I will tell you one thing, to hear a student say, "Mrs. Robertson, I'm starting to like math now" really makes it all worth it! Here's to 175 more days to go! :)
As far as other exciting (ha!) things going on in my life, my hubby and I did go to the American Craft Beer Festivial. (Ok maybe talking about teaching and beer in the same blog isn't so great...don't judge!) But, we had such a great time! It was at Devils Backbone and the weather was so perfect. They had over 30 breweries, local ones at that, to try. It's just great to spend some time with him and get out of town, even if it is only for a few hours and plus we can support local awesome places!
So, for now, I am trying to just keep my life together with this new job and still make time to enjoy other things. It has really consumed a lot of my time, during the week and on the weekends but I know it's worth it. I also know that my first year is my survival year so it's gonna be a long one but it will get easier!
Well that is all for now. Sadly, time to grade a few papers then it's actually bedtime! Yes, I said it..bedtime...that 5:45 alarm comes quite early! Until next time...

I know everyone is just dying to read my next blog! (a lot of sarcasm there) But I do want to share some great recipes I have come across over the past few weeks! So I am not a great cook, but thats only because I am learning. I hope to be one day, but over the past few weeks I have become interested and well, better, at making pasteries/desserts/baking. I wanted to share a few easy and delicious recipes for those that would like to try something new :)
First off, I made some key lime tartlets. They are super easy and super wonderful! All you need is some Lime Curd (found in a jar in the baking isle, looks like lime jelly), sugar, and a block of cream cheese for the mixture. I used kroger brand fat free and tasted just as good! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid6D4VeQIDPMahRrcPQ1hyphenhyphennvy25KfcfESIhRdrc7Kl_W5-5MbMxOUo26jtTKAVT71e_TuW1VstvtSLUclMlZ-jDzn8HOqd1yimTXPiuNIOUyexYf6TVuOZi9pApNCfmojUtD05SekBV64/s1600/kl1" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="180" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid6D4VeQIDPMahRrcPQ1hyphenhyphennvy25KfcfESIhRdrc7Kl_W5-5MbMxOUo26jtTKAVT71e_TuW1VstvtSLUclMlZ-jDzn8HOqd1yimTXPiuNIOUyexYf6TVuOZi9pApNCfmojUtD05SekBV64/s320/kl1" /></a></div>
You put those three into the mixer, mix well, and then fill each little tartlet with the mixture and put in the fridge until ready to serve. You can make them fancy and add some whip cream and a lime slice, but I just went plain for this batch! I found these little tartlets in the baking isle. They are little pricey but they are no bake and taste wonderful! Really worth the buy
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn6Gf9_2408agyvtFS03eGAdNmAnUN9SQLslWRYr74dcOdnFanVWMI1pQnwYYVcQByv3jiQInXDG_vuS4aWSTgA6TBguhn0udZ-xhmpMq5f-szTv2FZXayzCCwNgMDiCPvIGIXItQvx7s/s1600/kl2" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn6Gf9_2408agyvtFS03eGAdNmAnUN9SQLslWRYr74dcOdnFanVWMI1pQnwYYVcQByv3jiQInXDG_vuS4aWSTgA6TBguhn0udZ-xhmpMq5f-szTv2FZXayzCCwNgMDiCPvIGIXItQvx7s/s320/kl2" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI1ls__Refael7I7_RyDY_YRHqxI1fkfIDaDnvYt6d80XzXT6ALXf_G37cUilJjD1FBOOhnRqAuB3yIyR310SksB0XKNfn2N-WgpIi8zCKwPQdBVq_WekUFpTA2OVH8wY8mbDSVapoM9s/s1600/kl4" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI1ls__Refael7I7_RyDY_YRHqxI1fkfIDaDnvYt6d80XzXT6ALXf_G37cUilJjD1FBOOhnRqAuB3yIyR310SksB0XKNfn2N-WgpIi8zCKwPQdBVq_WekUFpTA2OVH8wY8mbDSVapoM9s/s320/kl4" /></a></div>
So that is the final product and they are cute and bite size and just perfect!
So another recipe that I tried, today actually, was my first loaf of banana bread! I had 3 really really ripe bananas and didn't want to throw them away so I found a pretty simple and easy recipe for banana bread. This is a recipe where you dont even need a mixer, if you dont have one, you can just mix it all by hand!
First off, you mix butter and smash the bananas together. I used a fork for this to help get some of the chunks out but the rest I mixed with just a wooden spoon! Then I added sugar, vanilla extract, one egg, baking soda, and salt.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVu_UXPfBpdYZuPvdBJU0TxQWbk2B1ncDooz6XvafkmHbbrk2QRCxNVdxPsbjeb5qROH1x44zvIlyQRb3N1PICQVp-lk2G8FFORgp8z79PTMn5_bbBwtpZ1PS0AsU6Q9WXHrioEI40ZuM/s1600/bb2" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVu_UXPfBpdYZuPvdBJU0TxQWbk2B1ncDooz6XvafkmHbbrk2QRCxNVdxPsbjeb5qROH1x44zvIlyQRb3N1PICQVp-lk2G8FFORgp8z79PTMn5_bbBwtpZ1PS0AsU6Q9WXHrioEI40ZuM/s320/bb2" /></a></div>
Once they were all mixed together, I added the flour, a little bit at a time and that helped make it more like a batter. Then I poured the mixture into a well greased loaf pan! It looks so wonderful and already smells good at this point! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQIic9HtXY9zZgBvSv8Y4q6-lPNPlmgfxcdd4uc6MJcJ-LANssFVvpc46L0ZkWSGl_zXXXfiOyB4066Qe1LJ-xQSSRbdG8HdsCIGZFwCz_cvFmYfMnkOj7C8efKXjZKxQJ9ugO16xAbNg/s1600/bb3" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQIic9HtXY9zZgBvSv8Y4q6-lPNPlmgfxcdd4uc6MJcJ-LANssFVvpc46L0ZkWSGl_zXXXfiOyB4066Qe1LJ-xQSSRbdG8HdsCIGZFwCz_cvFmYfMnkOj7C8efKXjZKxQJ9ugO16xAbNg/s320/bb3" /></a></div>
And after that, all it had to do was bake at 350 for about an hour. Because I had a little bit bigger loaf pan than what the recipe called for, mine only took about 50 minutes to cook but just play it by ear and check with a toothpick, if it comes out with no mixture on it, its good! Then i just let it cool and it is oh so wonderful! I am excited to take this for breakfast this week :)<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3QZXpuGocuyJby_zZiuExvXE0lHTBIu3WaJcmTiToE0NEv5OTnSF0-MFin4HAzqi0nXsXNwBxu6pr8J9AuVbWq0NpU9nNGFYtLHpRPQMYnniPMylrXqflvVzwfIo9eFbZogRG_GAqhyI/s1600/bb4" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3QZXpuGocuyJby_zZiuExvXE0lHTBIu3WaJcmTiToE0NEv5OTnSF0-MFin4HAzqi0nXsXNwBxu6pr8J9AuVbWq0NpU9nNGFYtLHpRPQMYnniPMylrXqflvVzwfIo9eFbZogRG_GAqhyI/s320/bb4" /></a></div>
So those are just a couple to share. I really have enjoyed making them and look forward to finding more recipes to share! I really want to learn to cook but I don't know, I just really enjoy baking more! We'll see!
SO other than that, things have been pretty good around the robertson house. The husband made me breakfast this morning, a totally surprise! Eggs, bacon (with brown sugar and syrup-- if you haven't had it, you really should!) fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls! He's such a great husband and I am lucky to have him in my life
Alright well I suppose that is all for now! about to start yet another long week! Oh and P.S. I know it's still August but Blue Moon already has their pumpkin beer out and it is wonderful! Gets me excited for the fall! Plus, first UVA home game this weekend -- so looking forward to it!:) Well, until next time..xoxo<3Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-89879477319645442212012-07-10T18:50:00.000-07:002012-07-10T18:59:17.784-07:00life changesSo a lot has changed in my life since my last update! A big change to my life is the fact that I got married almost two months ago! I guess I shouldn't say its a big change because not much seems different. We have been together for over six years so we basically just made it official! I don't mean to brag but I couldn't be more happy with my life. I have a perfect little house, a wonderful husband, an adorable pup, and friends and family that care about us and support us. I just really don't know what else a girl could want!
So speaking of what a girl wants,my wedding was perfect! It definitely goes by way too fast so its a must to enjoy every second and not get stressed about the small stuff. It was a beautiful day and we had everyone there that meant the world to us to help share in our special day! The food was wonderful and we truly enjoyed every minute of it. Our parents really gave us the wedding of our dreams!
I will tell you one thing, I don't think there is anyone else in this world as giving and amazing as my parents. We recently lost power in a freak storm for five days and the things my parents had to do to help out with the family, especially with my brother..its just beyond words. They have really taught me how to have compassion,patience, and to be unselfish. I hope to be half as good of a parent that my parents are one day!
so as being a new wife,I am attempting (keyword is attempting) to be more domesticated..really that just means to cook more because I do most of the cleaning because I am too OCD to let anyone else do it. But anyways, we have been trying to cook more and have enjoyed it! We got so much awesome kitchen stuff for the wedding so we need to use it! Tonight we made pasta with an olive oil sauce and mussels! It was very light and the mussels were awesome! (Of course they came from my family's seafood shop!) we cooked them in some olive oil, a little butter, garlic,parsley,and some white wine! It was definitely a perfect summer dish!
Alright well that's all for now..I would love to write more often. So I will work on that! Until next time...Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-25411336351302226262012-04-30T19:35:00.003-07:002012-04-30T19:35:58.973-07:00countdown! (just an FYI, this post might be long and seem cramped because my enter key is not working as of now!) so my wedding is 18 days away! How exciting is that?! On April 23rd, Jeremy and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. It's hard to believe that we have actually been together that long, but I am so thankful for all that time to get to know him and us grow together before we make this big change in our life! I couldn't imagine doing it with anyone else though :) I must confess, I have been in such a weird mood the past two weeks. I don't know what my deal was...I have so much to be excited for but the only thing I could do was be in a bad mood! The feeling was awful! I felt so selfish but couldn't snap out of it! Finally I made myself sit down and think what could be causing it. I mean, anyone could really answer that question of what caused it....stress. But why am I stressed? I mean (knock on wood) everything for my wedding is pretty much ready to go, the honeymoon is booked, and I have been having amazing showers and gatherings with friends and family. But the more I thought about it, it was more than that. It was the small tiny details that were bothering me. I'm not just talking about the small details about my wedding day, but the small, insignificant details about the whole process. For instance, I can't believe how much society has changed and lost some manners. Is it really a polite thing to ask about invitations to the wedding? Is it really polite to want to know who all is going? I mean, it's our wedding. We already had a hard enough time trying to narrow down the list to 200. If we had our way and an unlimited amount of money, we would surely invite everyone! But we can't. And I just wish people understood that. But they dont, because it's all about them. They want to know why they weren't invited. So I had a lot of built up stress about already feeling guilty about having to chose then people making it worse. I am sorry. I am not trying to offend anyone. It's just what we had to do. So I told myself to let it go, that there was no point in worrying about it and that the people that would be there would make that day very special to us and thats all that matters! So believe it or not, after explaining that to a few people and letting it go, I've felt a lot of weight being lifted from my shoulders! Ok so enough of that rant! I am super pumped about the big day! It's going to be perfect no matter what! I am also very excited about the honeymoon as well! Any chance to get out of town and just relax, I'm in! I had my bachelorette party this past weekend in DC with my friends and it was amazing! We got to spend a whole day shopping then ate at this wonderful tapa's bar, Cava Mezze in Arlington! It was so good to spend some time away from home with some of my closest friends! Note to self: if you plan on going to a club, make sure your license is NOT expired... fail. But at least the bar let me drink so all in all it was a good time :) alright well thats all for now, until next time! xoxoJwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-31505539658778163762012-03-26T19:13:00.005-07:002012-03-26T19:37:47.698-07:00Celebrate more!you know, most days it's hard to believe that i'm actually 24 years old (and for all those older people reading this, I know what you're thinking..so young!) but i still feel like i'm 18, getting ready to graduate high school and start a new adventure in college..not knowing what to expect. But really, those college days have come and gone and now even three years out, living with my very-soon-to-be fiance, in our own house, with our own dog, working our own full time adult jobs, paying our own bills. Some days I just stop and think, wait...when did this all happen and why did it happen so quickly? I'm not saying this as a bad thing, because trust me, I am in a very lucky place in my life right now. I have so much to be thankful for, and I truly am. But when we were young and looking forward to all the grown up things, it's here and it's nothing like I thought it'd be. I didn't think it'd be "fun", but I guess I felt it would feel more like a milestone. And I suppose at the time of each event, there was celebration but that celebration has since worn off! I think we should all celebrate special times in our lives...not just once, but over and over. Because to me, every day you get up and work and take care of a house and family and yourself and do what you have to do, thats something to celebrate and be happy about! I think people could use some more celebration in their lives! so why not? you've accomplished something and have earned it! enjoy it! :)<div><br /></div><div><i>" There are two things to aim for in life: first, to get what you want: and after that, to enjoy it. My grandmothers surgery went very very well! She's already up and moving and back to her normal routine! Such great news :)</div><div><div><br /></div><div>Ok so lately I have become more interested in taking pictures. I guess due to the fact that I'm starting to move up in the world and actually got a smart phone the end of last year, I can actually take pretty decent pictures with my phone! I also found this pretty awesome app that does all these effects so i've been playing around and took some pictures of our weekend getaway!</div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRh_J71u29QIUR1VCMfi2HkW4dJoO_-ni9T8-eoyxHEbLLbYk6EtrwnTz1ilqlXZFS-Q05JPtWGEHnzPMK7uVlJ-DBRvhnBM1xpnbI1ukuFPZNlzxNcktC7hwjRK6VyhLKNuDAGTRq70U/s1600/drink" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRh_J71u29QIUR1VCMfi2HkW4dJoO_-ni9T8-eoyxHEbLLbYk6EtrwnTz1ilqlXZFS-Q05JPtWGEHnzPMK7uVlJ-DBRvhnBM1xpnbI1ukuFPZNlzxNcktC7hwjRK6VyhLKNuDAGTRq70U/s320/drink" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5720314513911283138" /></a>This is the best bloody mary I have ever had! Well, about 20 minutes up the road there is a small town that has a few more places (the biggest thing there being a sheetz) but they have this adorable little duckpin alley! I had never heard of duckpin until my mom told me that she used to play when she was younger so (no offense to my mom) it's an older type of bowling game. So we went and played one night and it's a lot harder than it looks! There were also no electronic machines or anything. Had to keep score by, get this...an overhead projector! haha tells you how dated that is, but none the less, adorable and fun!<div><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8LoiG-oDS6lLcgohVYmnWP6q6-zLVQzZKVVRwzJ5wlYxYExcyzjhR9xCHU_60otrL_ufLCdH95_cO-rk5jRqmML_L5whmOIbcfjTyLs6eDhNVQcSRwtGEmM_Bm4tXk87opOvAIhURzPU/s1600/pond+skim" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8LoiG-oDS6lLcgohVYmnWP6q6-zLVQzZKVVRwzJ5wlYxYExcyzjhR9xCHU_60otrL_ufLCdH95_cO-rk5jRqmML_L5whmOIbcfjTyLs6eDhNVQcSRwtGEmM_Bm4tXk87opOvAIhURzPU/s320/pond+skim" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5720314035307906866" /></a><br /><div>So we always go up to Bryce for their end of the season winter festival. I think the winter part was a joke this year but at least the weather was perfect for pond skimming! People would start at the top of the mountain and go down and try to ski or snowboard across the pond. Surprisingly a lot more people made it than I expected! It was fun trying to watch them make it though!</div><div><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivuXALrO52JEw1JcYgKRCDzRbgDczuv4pawdFXMiIT_DxE-NwgwEMb75mL6Ru2K7ueLA0yF3clhASe22BccoPuQfVzQnfrTQ7vxqYy3-z7zWxvK7ObHkvWXKOLICvtmbhs6kewpXGKxTY/s1600/mt" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivuXALrO52JEw1JcYgKRCDzRbgDczuv4pawdFXMiIT_DxE-NwgwEMb75mL6Ru2K7ueLA0yF3clhASe22BccoPuQfVzQnfrTQ7vxqYy3-z7zWxvK7ObHkvWXKOLICvtmbhs6kewpXGKxTY/s320/mt" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5720313672355446274" /></a><br /><div>This is the only view I managed to get of the mountain from where I was sitting. You can see the extreme lack of snow there was! But it's still a beautiful place to go!</div><div><br /></div><div>Alright well thats all for now. Just wanted to share some photos from the trip! So happy that tomorrow is Friday!! Until next time..xoxo</div><div><br /></div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-7220249326758920882012-03-12T19:27:00.004-07:002012-03-12T19:46:21.157-07:00spring is here!I'm sorry that my updates are getting spread out more than my original intent. I don't really have a reason as to why that has happened..work, wedding, life in general all play a role in that but I will try to update more!<div><br /></div><div>So wedding is two months away! Everything is falling into place and I love it! We only have a few details left to take care of so I'm not worried yet..they will get done! Tomorrow we meet with the Minister to talk about the actual ceremony. I'm excited to meet with him because he is a family friend and used to be the Minister at the church I grew up in (also the church we're getting married in!) He even baptized me when I was much younger so I consider it an honor to have him be part of our special day! </div><div><br /></div><div>Today my grandmother had surgery and everything went well! She is not your typical grandmother...I don't even like calling her that! We call her Gee and that fits her more! She's such an active fun lady who can entertain a crowd! She has definitely taught me important lessons in my life and am so glad that I have gotten the chance to spend many years with her and many more to come!</div><div><br /></div><div>The fiance and I were able to sneak away for a few days this past weekend to head to the mountains for his family's annual ski trip. It was so nice to get away (Lets face it, any break from work is appreciated). I really do love being in the mountains. It's such a peaceful and calm place. The term "breath of fresh air" is definitely how it feels being up there! I do have to admit though, getting home yesterday, I had a feeling of relief. It was good to be back to our own house and pick up the pup! I surely did miss him like crazy! But the fact that we have a place to call our own to come home to, there really is no better feeling! I know a lot of my friends and people my age can appreciate the fact when you can find a permanent place to stay, it's such a relief! For the past 6 years, I have moved every single year! It gets old after awhile and you feel you can't really buy nice things! So this August, unlike the previous 6 years, I can stay put! No moving, no deadlines when to be out, nothing! How awesome!</div><div><br /></div><div>Well I suppose that is all for now. Can't believe it's almost 11 and I'm really not even tired. I love the fact that it stays lighter later but my sleep hours are all out of sorts! I'm sure it will resolve itself soon because I cannot live without my sleep! Until next time...xoxo!</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-32828373419522312452012-02-20T19:12:00.000-08:002012-02-20T19:23:42.375-08:00I should be sleepingSo I'm exhausted and it's only Monday. I mean, is that even possible? Only 1/5 way through the week and I'm tired. I think this crazy weather has me in some kind of weird mood. Saturday was absolutely beautiful! Got to enjoy sitting on our deck with the fiance, watching our pup play in the yard. Then yesterday I got to enjoy watching the pup play in the yard, only I was inside and he was playing in the snow! I don't get this hot/cold weather but I wish it'd make it's mind up, either way would really be fine with me!<div><br /></div><div>So our wedding is officially less than 3 months from today. Crazy?! I think so! But, I'm not even the least bit stressed about it! We have a lot done for it and only a few minor things to sort out between then. I really don't want to get all stressed and worked up about it, really because it doesn't get you anywhere and plus, I want everything about my wedding to be a good experience! There has been some talk about a couple showers and even the bachelorette party so all of that is getting me super excited :) The only thing that I am maybe a bit worried about is the honeymoon. That is not done yet but we are not picky people about that, as long as it's warm and all inclusive, we're in!</div><div><br /></div><div>ok well I think that is all for now, I was in the mood to write and update about everything but my eyes are getting heavy so I think it's getting close to time to sleep! I will update soon with more! Until next time....</div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-29905857214005575392012-01-15T16:59:00.000-08:002012-01-15T17:22:40.833-08:00A place to call homeSo I figured it was time for another update. Can't believe that January is halfway over. That means that my wedding is getting so close! Its 130 days to be exact! I've finally started thinking more about the wedding and my mom has been such a wonderful help! She's been making tons of phone calls for me finding out information and prices for different things! We are going on Thursday to do wedding stuff! We are meeting at Oakwood to go over layout, decorations, etc. Then we are meeting with the florist and also hopefully start to get decorations that I can start working on! I'm glad that it's finally coming together because I know it will be here before I know it!<br /><br />So Jeremy and I got started on our Christmas present that was given to us! We were given a new driveway! (you know you're getting old when you get excited about a new driveway!) We were so excited about it because ours desperately needed it! Here is the before picture:<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNlkwy-6lVKk6UQz76CnapJFqiJCJsJC0AtBp9noPhn_7nvqivDO3Qd_ZOKLvrcHRJGpsFVNNBxSw7ZP2RCnTo_dbaPJlI1mjUgPB2dw5Ss-K-pP2i36y6wu0AtgXDXJmFRFSMNIrImRg/s1600/driveway.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5698030084344364434" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNlkwy-6lVKk6UQz76CnapJFqiJCJsJC0AtBp9noPhn_7nvqivDO3Qd_ZOKLvrcHRJGpsFVNNBxSw7ZP2RCnTo_dbaPJlI1mjUgPB2dw5Ss-K-pP2i36y6wu0AtgXDXJmFRFSMNIrImRg/s320/driveway.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div>See what I mean? Looks terrible!(excuse Tysons butt, he just had to be in the picture!) But its a small driveway and has hardly any gravel left. So Jeremy and I went to Lowes and bought 20 Timbers to outline our new driveway how we wanted it. Then his uncle, who gave us the Christmas present, came over and started digging up the ground where we were going to put the new driveway. Then we put the base coat down! Here is the after picture (this is just with the base coat, we just got the gravel the other day and still waiting on more so I will take a picture when it's completely done!)<br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhegE6RA6IqeSCOqBiRFIMbuJeeACaoJWwODecO_fiW8dlKuXrXtMwrCE9ggjC7rCqlBTqhI9uSpo8qCYc9jWGKVx4gZq1YevloFTk-X3wSgfFY5ctNnUoWVZ8U8zAkYHLz7RO3Cocuwoo/s1600/driveway2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5698029855242339298" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhegE6RA6IqeSCOqBiRFIMbuJeeACaoJWwODecO_fiW8dlKuXrXtMwrCE9ggjC7rCqlBTqhI9uSpo8qCYc9jWGKVx4gZq1YevloFTk-X3wSgfFY5ctNnUoWVZ8U8zAkYHLz7RO3Cocuwoo/s320/driveway2.jpg" /></a> </div><br /><br /><br /><div>What a difference! We are super excited about it! The bottom part then leads to the shed so we have a walkway for that now! We absolutely love being homeowners! I know there is so much to do and always something to fix, but we love it. It's just nice that we can call it ours! </div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><div>So I had a first time experience at work 2 weeks ago. Something I never want to do again. I had a patient pass away in my arms. Not sure the reason...stroke, blood clot..I dont know but it was rough. It's a terrible feeling to be right there and not be able to do anything to help him. I watched the paramedics work on him...shocking him, giving CPR, trying to put tubes down his throat...I was in shock. My adrenaline was racing so I wasn't thinking of anything at the time but once that wore off, I was in a strange mood. I feel so bad for the patient and his wife. I can only imagine how hard that is to watch the one you spent your whole life with, pass away in front of you. Just awful. Definitely thinking about his family!</div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><div>Alright well thats all for now..I will update again soon! Until then..xoxo</div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-61224638099324908032012-01-01T19:21:00.000-08:002012-01-01T19:39:39.551-08:00a new year!So it's a new year. Last year went by fast, but it seems the older I get, the quicker they go! A lot of great things happened last year. The boys graduation from college, my best friends weddings, my exciting engagement, our new home, and our adorable pup! It was a great year with so many eventful things but I am looking forward to 2012 as well! This is going to be the year I get to marry my love! I can't be anymore excited about it! I also hope for this year plenty of time with friends and family, to be healthy, to enjoy the small things, to take things more lightly, and to love my pup even more (and hopefully get him enrolled in obedience classes!) If only he was this good all the time :)<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Jsk1cSvntLfAsblD1Skj0ht4ZjcUkeXwfC4WjCZVQpOZa2w-hDTQQ_9JexDoj01XF8f48sqZExKMF8zaz_qS5HCR9M59_DCRUbMbk48TRF1teTy23lWaROQF295rulu0OXNQQi5vHvs/s1600/pic3.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 180px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692870161064175826" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Jsk1cSvntLfAsblD1Skj0ht4ZjcUkeXwfC4WjCZVQpOZa2w-hDTQQ_9JexDoj01XF8f48sqZExKMF8zaz_qS5HCR9M59_DCRUbMbk48TRF1teTy23lWaROQF295rulu0OXNQQi5vHvs/s320/pic3.jpg" /></a><br />So Jeremy and I got a lot of awesome things for Christmas! We got so much stuff for our kitchen (awesome knives, steamer, rice cooker, crockpot, etc) I figured since we got so much for our kitchen that it's time I really start learning to cook. It has been something I've been interested in but never really had to tools to do. Sure I'm great at heating things up, but I want to be able to actually cook! So my friend from work came over the other night and we wanted to make a healthy meal from start to finish! We decided on a WW recipe called Mexican Chicken Wraps. It's super simple and very healthy! We took boneless skinless chicken, seasoned it with taco seasoning, salt, and pepper then cooked it on the stove. Then in a small bowl we mixed light mayo, chipotle peppers in adobe sauce, and one lime. Mixed that together. Then we assembled the wraps with a little of the chipotle mayo, grilled chicken, and tomatos and arugala. It was amazing! It was very spicy because we left the seeds in the chiptole peppers when we diced them but you can just use the adobe sauce instead. We sauteed some mushrooms and roasted some peppers in the oven for the sides! It was so good :)<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdhGxiUZKiQKOsX5OHxbmlEoXwgrstDLKlGAQGFApXyqpariBPG4h38bbTbZvpjF2rmAjck9FUQCWld59LsnfzgQMHX_vBFl2y8DIFjZA4Q5RdXjMAeVf_HLUnDmZ0tkJOyEKkLYIVn6Q/s1600/pic2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 180px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692870061936438002" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdhGxiUZKiQKOsX5OHxbmlEoXwgrstDLKlGAQGFApXyqpariBPG4h38bbTbZvpjF2rmAjck9FUQCWld59LsnfzgQMHX_vBFl2y8DIFjZA4Q5RdXjMAeVf_HLUnDmZ0tkJOyEKkLYIVn6Q/s320/pic2.jpg" /></a><br />Jeremy and I had such a wonderful Christmas. Not only did we get to spend it with both of our familes, and see our friends...we also got some great stuff! We were so fortunate to get new rocks for our driveway (you can tell you're getting older when you get excited about a new driveway!), nice luggage for the honeymoon with a nice check included in the luggage, and tons of kitchen stuff! I also got this chair for my living room which I've had my eye on since we moved in our house in August! It matches so perfectly! I love it!<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz7GnQYYESMMXFTVIgfyIyqSXLx1c6DTOlM5xp-YXRMUf7sEh8l2aP9UH_IkbT0KDjyuxXcyQAHWHK4wJbMbAG3JAqgqBqrU1NX-fvks2dEYRIJ0-PHBOKM6MjhaUyB9o85kEjLEqi3oU/s1600/pic1.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 180px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692869951698761314" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz7GnQYYESMMXFTVIgfyIyqSXLx1c6DTOlM5xp-YXRMUf7sEh8l2aP9UH_IkbT0KDjyuxXcyQAHWHK4wJbMbAG3JAqgqBqrU1NX-fvks2dEYRIJ0-PHBOKM6MjhaUyB9o85kEjLEqi3oU/s320/pic1.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Alright well that is all for now! So happy to be off work tomorrow but I feel I have so much to do! I need to take down Christmas decorations and clean this house! We'll see what gets done tomorrow! Until next time..xoxo!<br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-8104739634995259552011-12-21T18:09:00.000-08:002011-12-21T18:22:50.919-08:00It's the most wonderful time of the year!I don't think I could be any happier with my life right now. 2011 has been a life changing year for me! I've helped celebrate Jeremy's graduation from college, gotten engaged to a wonderful guy, bought our first house together, adopted a cute little pup, watched 2 of my best friends get married, and have had the never-ending support and love from family and friends. I've definitely received more than I deserve. I wake up every single day and am thankful for what I have. I hope everyone gets the chance to realize how much they have and be happy with it. There really is no greater feeling!<br /><br />Christmas is 4 days away! Crazy! One more work day for the week then a nice long weekend with tons of food, family, and friends! Christmas time just makes me happy in general. I love everything about it! One of my favorites is neatly wrapped presents under the tree! I like spending time on wrapping gifts, it puts some excitement in watching people open them :)<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-i-mRZPezuPE38d93ykZbDf6JjEN3hiKpZu8tYxROOIlqpO1UJz6QAWht0wBo4GfIwppDKljIwdZihYNiRt9SwEKMVMEkPf2wjjNMTdFiFUkHhQwiLBbwojYi6So65NiT2bgk5lAt9L8/s1600/tree.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 180px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688771195174023106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-i-mRZPezuPE38d93ykZbDf6JjEN3hiKpZu8tYxROOIlqpO1UJz6QAWht0wBo4GfIwppDKljIwdZihYNiRt9SwEKMVMEkPf2wjjNMTdFiFUkHhQwiLBbwojYi6So65NiT2bgk5lAt9L8/s320/tree.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br />Another thing I love, not just at Christmas time, but *most of the time...is my adorable pup! He's growing up and becoming a better dog! He's slowly growing out of his puppy stage, which I will be glad when it's over! But he's just too cute and full of energy! I know when I'm sick or sad he's right there in my face to comfort me!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcp2o0KU1V7xWmT2HKW5AhxdFJJvhqmUGjFB33Ww4zsvhk-sgcra0JQUdwR-ncxpmTAOJpFCN-1w9wjGuOpJ7mbRoRl4AMpspgKRSxElCpPFHzgyWR-1tZxn6_SzfosABTSWZ87LIKq2k/s1600/dog.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 180px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5688770720153566210" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcp2o0KU1V7xWmT2HKW5AhxdFJJvhqmUGjFB33Ww4zsvhk-sgcra0JQUdwR-ncxpmTAOJpFCN-1w9wjGuOpJ7mbRoRl4AMpspgKRSxElCpPFHzgyWR-1tZxn6_SzfosABTSWZ87LIKq2k/s320/dog.jpg" /></a><br />Ok well this is all for now, until next time!Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-43726812253463365792011-12-13T18:14:00.000-08:002011-12-13T18:46:14.573-08:00159 days..but who's counting?so I got some suggestions today that it was time to update again. I agree too! I don't really have any reason for the fact that I havent, just haven't. But I am and I feel I have a lot to update on!<br /><br />First off, I can't belive that Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is less than two weeks away! I still have some Christmas shopping/wrapping to do. I was one of those crazy people that shopped black friday (starting at midnight!) and shopped all night! It was actually pretty fun and I got a lot of shopping done, not to mention a few good deals :)<br /><br />I'm still in love with my house, especially now that it's Christmas! It really is exciting decorating your first house for christmas for the first time! I will try try try to get some pictures up soon because I just love it! Feels so cozy and holiday-ish!<br /><br />So wedding is 159 days away. Crazy crazy to me! I have some things done but still have some other things to sort out. I know I need to get on it, I'm just having a hard time motivating myself to do it! I know that sounds bad because it's my wedding and every girl dreams of planning some elaborate day, but I just know what I want and it's pretty simple. We got the necessities, church, reception site, dj, dress, and bridesmaids dresses. so thats a pretty good start i think! Working on cake and photography next. Who knows..I think there will always be something to do until that day gets here!<br /><br />Speaking of wedding though, I did get my wedding dress Satuday! Went to pick it up and try it on with my mom (who cried when I tried it on)! I know that it is the perfect dress, without a doubt! So excited that it is here and i LOVE it!<br /><br />Just a random thought.... It's funny when you get older the things you realize. You don't notice a lot when you're younger, I wonder if thats the fact you're just naive to everything or just choose not to notice it. I think, in my case, it was the fact that I didn't believe people could be a certain way because it wasn't how I was raised. It just amazes me how people, especially people much older me, can act. Just lack of work ethic, lack of respect, lack of consideration for anyone else but themselves. It's like people need some type of motivation that they will get something in return for doing anything. Since when does anybody owe anyone anything? Shouldn't things be done because it's the right thing to do? I don't know, just amazes me. But I guess it's good to know that I have great parents who have set great examples for me, and for my friends for being the wonderful dependable people they are!<br /><br />alright I promise to update more often! until then... xoxo <3Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-51394249305912919912011-11-15T18:11:00.000-08:002011-11-15T18:27:39.416-08:00Everyone needs some laughter!I know I updated yesterday but sometimes you just can't help when your mind has time to wonder and ponder about new things. Tonight on the way back from the gym, I was listening to the radio and a lady had called into the radio station and said she just wanted to thank them for making her laugh. And you know, you dont really hear that often. How many times have you told someone thank you for making me laugh? I know I haven't said it much. but why not? i mean, isn't laughter one of the best things you can do for yourself? It makes things seem easier and lighter. I love to laugh! It truly is the best medicine! So when someone does make us laugh, we should appreciate that. We should say thank you. I know it's something small, but its somethings we take for granted...expecting others to make us laugh. We should even thank ourselves when we get the chance to laugh at ourselves for something silly we did! You never know when a laugh will change a persons day!Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-76663711497318091892011-11-14T18:16:00.000-08:002011-11-14T18:39:44.205-08:00A place to call your ownOwning a house has changed me in some ways. Not bad changes, good changes! More like growing up changes. Like, when you are excited to come home and cut YOUR grass, or spend Sunday cleaning YOUR house...something about the fact that it's yours makes it that much better! It definitely has allowed me to appreciate the fact that I do own my own house and even though I may not have tons of money to buy everything I want or live in a huge house, the fact that it's mine makes it all worthwhile :)<br /><br />So about that whole changing me..that happened this weekend. I put my Christmas tree up. Now before you go saying it's not even Thanksgiving yet, I know I know. I was NEVER one of those people and always waited until after Turkey day, but because it's MY new house, I was just too excited to wait. I absolutely love my little tree and hope to post pictures soon.<br /><br />So wedding planning is underway...more so than it has been up until now. Have the guest list just about done. Looking at about 250 people. Things just start adding up when you start listing names but I'm excited to have a big wedding! I want a lot of people there to celebrate in our special day! Hopefully getting a dj soon, kinda of got jipped on the first dj but thanks to my friends, may have another one :) Next is the cake to decide on. Jeremy said he definitely wants to help decide so hopefully we can do some tasting soon and get that planned. I just want to make sure I have the big things in place. I figure May is kind of a busy time of year, with weddings, graduations, and prom. I'm hoping to get things reserved soon! Still waiting to find out when my dress comes in, I'm so excited to go see it and try it on!<br /><br />Well this is all for now, I'm getting a cable for my camera soon so I can post more pictures. Until next time.. :)Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-16987343906612135312011-11-05T18:48:00.000-07:002011-11-05T19:18:36.322-07:00say yes to the dress!So I can't even believe it...I bought my wedding dress today! It still seems so surreal to me, this whole wedding thing, but I could not be happier! I ordered my dress and accessories and am now on the hunt for shoes, but no hurry for them. I even picked out bridesmaid dresses too! Today has been a very accomplished day! I definitely could not have done it without my mom and dad, they've been so wonderful with this whole planning :)<br /><br />So I'm pretty proud of my cute fiance. He is volunteering at Wintergreen this season to help children with disabilites ski/snowboard! He spent the day today training and then will have to complete a few more training sessions then it'll be time to hit the slopes with the kids! He will be working with children from physical to mental disabilites. I'm very excited that he is wanting to do this for them! He's such a great guy :)<br /><br />I have definitely become one of those people obsessed with their dogs! I just can't stand how darn cute he is! He has ruined my rainbow flops and nine west leather boots, but because he's so cute, I can't be mad at him! I'm so happy we were given the chance to get a pup, I can't imagine our life without him :)<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjusLI7Pm3o88dep8_XI8HLXJRM37KTMWNUf9UYzRLC9ueYOW3ZwJiWLLTFQou_zi6USl0VhT7heQiUwisvTCD8Nw8V26liFVi2ciHyb_qloi3KbOqegmY_kzMRV86uD-QvxlIiT88DPvc/s1600/111105-221113.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671700729035495218" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjusLI7Pm3o88dep8_XI8HLXJRM37KTMWNUf9UYzRLC9ueYOW3ZwJiWLLTFQou_zi6USl0VhT7heQiUwisvTCD8Nw8V26liFVi2ciHyb_qloi3KbOqegmY_kzMRV86uD-QvxlIiT88DPvc/s320/111105-221113.jpg" /></a><br />isn't he adorable?! alright until next time....<br /><br /><div></div><br /><div></div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-29574996839900786352011-11-03T18:49:00.000-07:002011-11-03T19:02:13.689-07:00november?I know I haven't updated in awhile...partly because my little mac is being fixed (thanks to tyson spilling drink on the keyboard) and partly because I need a cord for my digi cam to upload some pictures. I know that writing is good, but I like to share pictures too!<br /><br />First off, I can't believe that it's already november. where did this year go? Everywhere you go there is tons of Christmas decorations already! Is it me or are they extra early this year? Now don't get me wrong, I'm beyond excited to decorate my first house for Christmas, but I can wait til the day after Thanksgiving!<br /><br />My little pup got fixed a couple days ago. You could never tell he had surgery, he is still as hyper as ever! And of course they tell you not to let him run, play, jump, etc....yea...right. try enforcing that for 2 weeks! I am glad that we got that taken care of and got some of his shots! We will be making an offical vet appointment for him soon to get everything checked over. We are just so happy with our decision (mostly mine) to get him! Oh, besides the $150 in shoes he has chewed of mine....we are still happy..haha :)<br /><br />So wedding planning is coming along! I'm going to purchase my wedding dress this weekend! It's so crazy thinking I'm purchasing my real wedding dress.. still so unreal! Think we have gotten a DJ and now working on a cake. Still debating about a photographer. Those are the most important things to me now so once I get those figured out, I'll feel a lot better about things!<br /><br />Alright well quick update. Tyson is not leaving me alone long enough to write any more. So until next time!Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-1067153258920450332011-10-15T18:57:00.000-07:002011-10-15T19:26:18.977-07:00thrifting!<div style="text-align: center;">So it's been awhile since I updated...a month to be exact. I knew with the last post that I would jinx myself about everything being so perfect. Went to the beach with the family, it was wonderful, dont get me wrong, but I was pretty miserable the whole week! I woke up with a swollen face and hives the first morning. So I was on prednisone and benadryl for the whole week. Not my idea of a great vacation, but I managed! It was great to be with the family though :)</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyways, so today I went thrifting with my college roommate! She's an expert at finding great things for super cheap! I had wanted some things for the house so we set out looking. I found an entry way table (which I have wanted for forever) and a side table! We found them at the DAV for $39 for both! It was a steal! I went to wal-mart and got some paint (they have a "reject" paint shelf where you can buy paint that has already been mixed that people don't want.) So I found the perfect color there for $4.50 a gallon! Crazy I know! So I spent the afternoon painting my entry table and tada! It turned out exactly as I had wanted!</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJrsBGGr_d4M0LiZelyja5_fRA1m7Ba9T_usJnaMLi4lLOU9vxOAgEsQQVLUnzoyhho8aVcdDZW2ynJBOKxI2VzGDRllgEazD0xLSCpuJhvMqX2HRWlpNW5tu0Li8JQGd4WHfI3GDVVpk/s1600/house.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJrsBGGr_d4M0LiZelyja5_fRA1m7Ba9T_usJnaMLi4lLOU9vxOAgEsQQVLUnzoyhho8aVcdDZW2ynJBOKxI2VzGDRllgEazD0xLSCpuJhvMqX2HRWlpNW5tu0Li8JQGd4WHfI3GDVVpk/s320/house.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5663906448303870338" /></a><div><br /></div><div>I was very happy about my purchase! $20 total for the table and paint. I absolutely love it! I love finding great things for the house!</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyways, guess that's it for now, just a quick update. The fiance is on a fishing trip in VA beach so I'm hanging with the pup tonight watching chick flicks :) </div><div><br /></div><div>Until next time :) </div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-4824794082275038182011-09-15T15:28:00.001-07:002011-09-15T15:41:31.862-07:00random thoughtsI am beyond thankful for everything I have in my life right now. Things have been (knock on wood) pretty close to perfect. I know by me saying that, I probably just jinxed myself but thats ok because I know that whatever happens tomorrow, I can handle it. I have an amazing family! They provide me with such great support, I really couldn't ask for anything better. I have a loving fiance, in which we have been through so much (maybe more than we should have) but I know that we can work with whatever comes our way. I have my cute pup to see and play with every day (and punish and correct and clean up after..) but who still loves me every single day. <div><br /></div><div>I know I'm young and still learning. I know that life changes so quickly and no one can really predict how it's gonna turn out. But if you have the right people in your life, I know that everything will be just fine! </div><div><br /></div><div>Ok enough emotional stuff! beach is 3 days away! I'm long overdue for a vacation! I'm so excited to have a whole week off from work and away from Lynchburg! Before we head to the beach Sunday, I won tickets on the radio (I never win anything!) for the beer and wine festival this weekend so we're gonna hit up that and get some good stuff to fill our wine cabinet up (it's looking pretty bare!) I'm always down for trying some good beer and wine!</div><div><br /></div><div>well thats it for now, dinner with the boy then packing for the beach! So much to do before then!</div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-21695552953922263002011-09-08T18:39:00.001-07:002011-09-08T19:00:04.783-07:00home sweet home<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000ee;"><u><br /></u></span></div><div>ok so I know I kind of updated with a picture of the house, but I wanted to add a couple more. I just can't even express how much fun it is having our own place and being able to do whatever we want with it! I cut the grass today (yes I did all by myself!), which is my favorite, I absolutely love fresh cut grass! And with all the rain we had, its so green and pretty! It's just a good feeling to be home and have a place to call my own :) </div><div><br /></div><div>so football season has officially begun so I will not see my fiance until February. He's a little obsessed with it, but I guess he could have worse addictions so I'm ok with it! Gives me free Sundays anyways :) </div></div><div><br /></div><div>So, update on my hives (since I know everyone is just dying to know!) I've talked to some of the Doctors at work and have decided to change my course of action. I'm on antihistamines every 4-6 hours. I'm going to do that for about 6 weeks until my skin clears on it's own. I can't stand to be on Prednisone and I learned today that hives can actually last as long as 6 weeks just from one thing (I thought you took Benadryl when they came up and that was it). So I'm hoping it has nothing to do with my house or my pup. I have taken two doses of Benadryl since this afternoon and feel so much better. I couldn't take any antihistamines because of allergy testing so I've been downright miserable the past week. So I will hold on allergy testing until I get back from the beach and just concentrate on making myself feel better and not being so miserable!</div><div><br /></div><div>alright well thats all for now! oh just want to throw in there, I have such an amazing Fiance. I really couldn't ask for a better guy! He has bought tons of cleaning supplies and cleaned the house yesterday in case I am allergic to anything in the house (I'm talking like spraying lysol on the door handles type of cleaning). He's been amazing trying to make me feel better about everything! I couldn't live without him!</div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-8573179651413295922011-09-06T16:58:00.000-07:002011-09-06T17:24:28.832-07:00rain rain go away!<div>so I promise not to make this whole post about my adorable pup! he's just so darn cute and I know that is his saving grace when it comes to him getting in trouble. I've learned a lot about him since I met him two weeks ago. A new thing I happened to learn today is, lucky for me, he doesn't like the rain. well, as you can imagine, it has been raining nonstop all day. so my attempts to walk him (which were numerous times since I knew he had to go) got me standing in the pouring rain in the backyard with him sitting on the porch. So needless to say, he is back to his puppy roots and using his potty pads. I guess it could be worse and he not use those at all. I'm just ready for him to go outside!<div><br /><div>so beach is less than 2 weeks away! I am so looking forward to it, just getting away from Lynchburg and having a break. I really hope all these hurricanes take a break while we are there, we do not need that!</div><div><br /></div><div>I have absolutely loved my house. I just love being home and enjoying it. It really does make me happy. BUT, there is one small downside. I don't know if it is because of the house or what, but I have had hives ever since we moved in. So, since I have just become extremely miserable, as you can imagine being all hive-y and itchy day in and day out, I saw an allergist today. He could only test for a few things due to the lack of clear skin to test. So today I found out I am allergic (mildly) to dogs...(sorry but I refuse to believe that one. A. I have always lived with a dog and B. I'm absolutely not getting rid of Tyson. end of story). The other thing I found out that I was allergic to is, get this....myself. yep. i'm allergic to me. is that just wonderful? And I'm being serious when I say that..they take some blood and then shake it and inject the serum from the blood into you and guess what? it reacted. so as of now, I will have blood work done to find out why my body is fighting my own self. Hopefully it's not serious but hopefully thats the answer. I'm all hived out. 3 weeks is long enough, they can go away now. So as of now, I am on Prednisone (yuck!) until I can finish getting tested next week. So we wait....</div><div><br /></div><div>alright well thats all for now, I leave you with picture of the adorable pup and my fiance who loves him very much (most of the time!)</div></div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-xCg0VxqKnZECZVrfW2qhzwE-CY3opoLErGQf7hPAgl2NoyNNevnOKegFrfo8WfUtaemCu-dJPoHxhCLiOIU55OZDoqZGBPUV_89ek-heJrdVinOo88CTDO33Fp5fi51McaBGx7fTX7k/s1600/Photo+on+2011-09-04+at+09.01+%25232.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-xCg0VxqKnZECZVrfW2qhzwE-CY3opoLErGQf7hPAgl2NoyNNevnOKegFrfo8WfUtaemCu-dJPoHxhCLiOIU55OZDoqZGBPUV_89ek-heJrdVinOo88CTDO33Fp5fi51McaBGx7fTX7k/s320/Photo+on+2011-09-04+at+09.01+%25232.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5649406249157839778" /></a><br /><br /><div><div><br /></div></div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-38893750771429646822011-09-01T19:39:00.001-07:002011-09-01T19:45:52.803-07:00I spy...<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOjDnvOUxzB1ZKVBlG0_RT40VqwnISClUbah9qRuBf8Fk9-_1tGGt59kP6Q4G-jbMM37_jUm0IMZoNfggyBpGJIVMwXLOqNVfTERlPjPt0kk6lpjUgdIToxusiFNCcJXf5qOtBN0SREvY/s1600/Photo+on+2011-09-01+at+22.12+%25232.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOjDnvOUxzB1ZKVBlG0_RT40VqwnISClUbah9qRuBf8Fk9-_1tGGt59kP6Q4G-jbMM37_jUm0IMZoNfggyBpGJIVMwXLOqNVfTERlPjPt0kk6lpjUgdIToxusiFNCcJXf5qOtBN0SREvY/s320/Photo+on+2011-09-01+at+22.12+%25232.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5647586429213901058" /></a>his new hiding spot: under the bed. he thinks we can't find him..he also thinks he can fit under there, but not so easily :) oh i just love him so much!<div>
<br /></div><div>beach=17 days! Was looking at some photos that the news had put up of damage that was done by Irene. It's terrible to see the damage that has been done and being able to recognize the places that used to be there or at least what they looked like before. It will be interesting to see in 2 weeks what kind of things have really happened at Duck. So far, we still have our house so thats good! Lets just hope the road is still intact to get us there!

I never thought i'd be one, I never understood. But since I've gotten my adorable pup, I just absolutely love him! We did change his name, it's Tyson now. We think it fits him well and was similar to his old name! He's just so darn cute. I was overwhelmed with him the first couple days but we have gotten along a lot better now! He's learning a lot and I'm learning a lot about him!</div><div>
<br /></div><div>
<br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwOAg4jU0dTYt4IvPDh59kLsd6YO7jpN4Ev_MrlVWpnYPD8zp5XYeS9Qzm-v2NdXonOQaqFVZLoj5RB4B6fiKCJac0IOJNI3HnJD4t_pU2tCm6zziyMz1qx4OOwjm91LGERbYmGMWdI5M/s1600/Photo+on+2011-08-30+at+21.40.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwOAg4jU0dTYt4IvPDh59kLsd6YO7jpN4Ev_MrlVWpnYPD8zp5XYeS9Qzm-v2NdXonOQaqFVZLoj5RB4B6fiKCJac0IOJNI3HnJD4t_pU2tCm6zziyMz1qx4OOwjm91LGERbYmGMWdI5M/s320/Photo+on+2011-08-30+at+21.40.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5646831422120313874" /></a><div>
<br /></div><div>
<br /></div><div>so I must say that the beach is only 19 days away! I'm so ready for a vacation! We have had a lot of exciting things happening in our life lately (engagement, new house, new pup) and it's been a lot to handle so it will be nice to take a break from everything and enjoy the beach and being with family! </div><div>
<br /></div><div>I'm pretty pumped about this weekend! It's the first UVA football game and am excited to tailgate with friends! Go Hoos :) </div><div>
<br /></div><div>Alright just a quick update for now, until next time!</div><div>

I'm just so happy to have my internet back..it's been rough without! Really, it hasn't been that bad..it's helped to break my addiction to facebook and other mindless websites. but none the less, glad I can use the internet!<div>
<br /></div><div>So because I have severe OCD, I wanted my house decorated the day we moved in. Needless to say, that didn't happen. But I have managed to do a few things! So here's a picture of the living room (excuse the quality of pictures, the fiance took them for me since my camera is dead)</div></div><div>

<br /><div>(also, the things on the fireplace are the extremely wonderful gifts we got for our housewarming party, we just haven't sorted it all out yet!)</div><div>
<br /></div><div>

<br /><div>
<br /></div><div>I will upload pictures of the kitchen and other rooms soon. They are a work in progress. The kitchen is done but I don't like the picture of it so I'll have to get a better picture of it to just show how adorable it is :) </div><div>
<br /></div><div>We could not be more excited about our home. It's been such a wonderful thing for us! I'm sorry to go on and on about our house but it's just been such a new and exciting thing in our life and want to share it with everyone!</div><div>
<br /></div><div>More to come soon!</div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-179440876872149628.post-43448751862245266752011-08-24T16:26:00.001-07:002011-08-24T16:31:47.785-07:00new family member!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghxoZ3r0VrT4b7rJt9ogaa732g0LXC0zJtOW4imTJ0W8AQCC2uhNf1b-NY8xbpmC9xKIL0eL3s-qVQxIezlWNrEtc8nuF-Pkgne68bv7rAe5mFM6kjDYEz7UE2T1wLrLY9MZQDnrJ7U-8/s1600/dog" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 239px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghxoZ3r0VrT4b7rJt9ogaa732g0LXC0zJtOW4imTJ0W8AQCC2uhNf1b-NY8xbpmC9xKIL0eL3s-qVQxIezlWNrEtc8nuF-Pkgne68bv7rAe5mFM6kjDYEz7UE2T1wLrLY9MZQDnrJ7U-8/s320/dog" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5644568927699968562" /></a>
<br />sorry I have not updated in forever, we still do not have internet :( So I'm eating dinner at my rents and using their internet for now! So today Jeremy and I got a new member for our family! His name is Titus and he's absolutely adorable! A co-worker of mines daughter was going to get rid of him because he needed more time to play and run than her work schedule allowed so I offered to take him on so he wouldn't have to go to the shelter! So I met him a little bit ago and am already in love. I know jeremy loves him just as well :) <div>
<br /></div><div>
<br /></div><div>so not only are we in love with our newest member of the family, we are totally in love with our new home! We feel so comfortable there and have gotten some amazing gifts for our home! We had a great house warming party Saturday (given by my bffs Jen and Amanda). We are so blessed to have everything we have! </div><div>
<br /></div><div>I promise I will post pictures of the house soon :)</div><div>

<br />So we do not have internet at our new home (thanks for being on strike verizon) so I'm sorry I have not updated about the big day!<div>
<br /></div><div>We closed Wednesday afternoon and started moving some things that night. Thursday was spent moving everything else in. We have had some amazing help from family and friends and are ever so grateful for everything! We are pretty much all moved in and now it's time to decorate and deal with the small things! </div><div>
<br /></div><div>We feel like we have been in the house for years. It's so comfortable and perfect for us! We are very lucky :)</div><div>
<br /></div><div>I will post pictures of the inside soon!</div><div>
<br /></div><div>oh p.s.- Today is Mrs. Cranes birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!</div>Jwilsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09029144780665026857noreply@blogger.com1
