rain rain go away!

so I promise not to make this whole post about my adorable pup! he's just so darn cute and I know that is his saving grace when it comes to him getting in trouble. I've learned a lot about him since I met him two weeks ago. A new thing I happened to learn today is, lucky for me, he doesn't like the rain. well, as you can imagine, it has been raining nonstop all day. so my attempts to walk him (which were numerous times since I knew he had to go) got me standing in the pouring rain in the backyard with him sitting on the porch. So needless to say, he is back to his puppy roots and using his potty pads. I guess it could be worse and he not use those at all. I'm just ready for him to go outside!

so beach is less than 2 weeks away! I am so looking forward to it, just getting away from Lynchburg and having a break. I really hope all these hurricanes take a break while we are there, we do not need that!

I have absolutely loved my house. I just love being home and enjoying it. It really does make me happy. BUT, there is one small downside. I don't know if it is because of the house or what, but I have had hives ever since we moved in. So, since I have just become extremely miserable, as you can imagine being all hive-y and itchy day in and day out, I saw an allergist today. He could only test for a few things due to the lack of clear skin to test. So today I found out I am allergic (mildly) to dogs...(sorry but I refuse to believe that one. A. I have always lived with a dog and B. I'm absolutely not getting rid of Tyson. end of story). The other thing I found out that I was allergic to is, get this....myself. yep. i'm allergic to me. is that just wonderful? And I'm being serious when I say that..they take some blood and then shake it and inject the serum from the blood into you and guess what? it reacted. so as of now, I will have blood work done to find out why my body is fighting my own self. Hopefully it's not serious but hopefully thats the answer. I'm all hived out. 3 weeks is long enough, they can go away now. So as of now, I am on Prednisone (yuck!) until I can finish getting tested next week. So we wait....

alright well thats all for now, I leave you with picture of the adorable pup and my fiance who loves him very much (most of the time!)

I spy...

his new hiding spot: under the bed. he thinks we can't find him..he also thinks he can fit under there, but not so easily :) oh i just love him so much!

beach=17 days! Was looking at some photos that the news had put up of damage that was done by Irene. It's terrible to see the damage that has been done and being able to recognize the places that used to be there or at least what they looked like before. It will be interesting to see in 2 weeks what kind of things have really happened at Duck. So far, we still have our house so thats good! Lets just hope the road is still intact to get us there!

puppy love!

so I've become one of those people that are obsessed with their dog. I never thought i'd be one, I never understood. But since I've gotten my adorable pup, I just absolutely love him! We did change his name, it's Tyson now. We think it fits him well and was similar to his old name! He's just so darn cute. I was overwhelmed with him the first couple days but we have gotten along a lot better now! He's learning a lot and I'm learning a lot about him!

so I must say that the beach is only 19 days away! I'm so ready for a vacation! We have had a lot of exciting things happening in our life lately (engagement, new house, new pup) and it's been a lot to handle so it will be nice to take a break from everything and enjoy the beach and being with family!

I'm pretty pumped about this weekend! It's the first UVA football game and am excited to tailgate with friends! Go Hoos :)

Alright just a quick update for now, until next time!

long overdue!

ok so I promised I would update with some pictures of the house! I'm just so happy to have my internet back..it's been rough without! Really, it hasn't been that bad..it's helped to break my addiction to facebook and other mindless websites. but none the less, glad I can use the internet!

So because I have severe OCD, I wanted my house decorated the day we moved in. Needless to say, that didn't happen. But I have managed to do a few things! So here's a picture of the living room (excuse the quality of pictures, the fiance took them for me since my camera is dead)

(also, the things on the fireplace are the extremely wonderful gifts we got for our housewarming party, we just haven't sorted it all out yet!)

I will upload pictures of the kitchen and other rooms soon. They are a work in progress. The kitchen is done but I don't like the picture of it so I'll have to get a better picture of it to just show how adorable it is :)

We could not be more excited about our home. It's been such a wonderful thing for us! I'm sorry to go on and on about our house but it's just been such a new and exciting thing in our life and want to share it with everyone!

More to come soon!

new family member!

sorry I have not updated in forever, we still do not have internet :( So I'm eating dinner at my rents and using their internet for now! So today Jeremy and I got a new member for our family! His name is Titus and he's absolutely adorable! A co-worker of mines daughter was going to get rid of him because he needed more time to play and run than her work schedule allowed so I offered to take him on so he wouldn't have to go to the shelter! So I met him a little bit ago and am already in love. I know jeremy loves him just as well :)

so not only are we in love with our newest member of the family, we are totally in love with our new home! We feel so comfortable there and have gotten some amazing gifts for our home! We had a great house warming party Saturday (given by my bffs Jen and Amanda). We are so blessed to have everything we have!

I promise I will post pictures of the house soon :)

Homeowners!

It's official! We are finally in our new home :) (excuse the landscaping, we are changing that soon!)

So we do not have internet at our new home (thanks for being on strike verizon) so I'm sorry I have not updated about the big day!

We closed Wednesday afternoon and started moving some things that night. Thursday was spent moving everything else in. We have had some amazing help from family and friends and are ever so grateful for everything! We are pretty much all moved in and now it's time to decorate and deal with the small things!

We feel like we have been in the house for years. It's so comfortable and perfect for us! We are very lucky :)

I will post pictures of the inside soon!

oh p.s.- Today is Mrs. Cranes birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Moving Eve!

So tonight is the last night at my parents house, even though I've enjoyed rent free living and free meals for the past two weeks, I am ready to be in my new house with the fiance!

I'm not gonna lie, I had a bit of a meltdown last night about not being able to close on the house tomorrow. There was a slight delay on some paperwork (not on our end...) that we didn't know if it would get signed in time for closing. But, we got word today from our awesome realtor, Melissa, that it's signed and stamped and everything is ready to go! so, knock on wood, tomorrow at 1:00 we will be holding the keys to our new house! :)

An added bonus for today: my wonderful parents put the deposit on Oakwood for my wedding reception! So we have a church to get married in and a place to celebrate! Now come the details, but we can wait until things are settled in the house before getting to those!

Alright, time to get some sleep. We have a few long days ahead of us but we know it will be oh.so.worth.it!
