summertime!

Just finished running at the gym and now I am enjoying this absolute perfect evening outside on my balcony with a glass of wine. It really is the simple things that make me happy!

Tomorrow we meet with the banker to finalize things with the house then Friday is the inspection. I've become obsessed with this house and I don't even live there yet! I've looked at everything from couches to outdoor rugs to even dogs peeing on fire hydrant salt and pepper shakers (no seriously, pier one has them, check them out--crazy!) I've found everything I've wanted for my house and more! But, I am a very impulse kind of person so granted I may like something today, that doesn't mean tomorrow I will. So like my parents told us, we are going to do one thing at a time and really take our time with it. It's just hard deciding which one thing to start with! Decisions, decisions...

So our D.C. trip is planned for this weekend. I'm super stoked about it. Mostly because I'm a nerd and can't wait to see all the museums! Not to mention we get to see 2 nats games AND spend fourth of July in D.C. It will be good to get away for a bit, especially before we have to move!

ok enough ramblings, will update more on the house next week!

Homeowners!

So I am creating a blog because I have a lot of new and exciting things happening in my life! I want to keep this, not only to update friends and family, but also so I can look back and remember all of these wonderful things! My mind is going a million miles an hour now because Jeremy and I just bought our first home. We found out Friday that this adorable little house is going to be ours! Take a look (this is the pictures from what the realtor has of the current owner, I will put pictures after we decorate it ourselves!)

Our closing date, as of now, is August 10th. We hope we can get in sooner but we will see. It's just a very new and exciting thing in our lives! But, before I can really get down to house business, Jeremy and I have a long weekend in D.C. planned for the upcoming weekend. We are taking the train down Saturday and coming back Tuesday. We are staying with the newlyweds (amanda and jake) Saturday and also seeing two Nats games while we are up there! I'm so looking forward to this trip! I hope we can get everything done we want to do while there!
So I hope to keep everyone updated on the moving and closing process. Today we bought our first piece of furniture for the new house..a cute little two person table. Also got some picture frames and flowers for the mantle. I really want to do an awesome mantle..I've been looking at ideas all day! It will be a work in process until we get everything like we want! but heres the new table!
